Director of Application Science

We are hiring a Director of Application Science for our Commercial Team!

Role Overview 

The Director of Application Science, reporting to the SVP of Business Development and Strategy, will be responsible for leading and managing success across Nucleai’s broad-range of biopharma programs (translational, development and diagnostics).

This role will partner closely with Business Development, Program Management, Translational Medicine and Diagnostics Teams and with BioPharma partners to maximize the usage and value of Nucleai’s algorithms, products, and data deliverables, driving future collaborations and strategic partnerships. This role will mostly operate in the delivery (post-sale) setting and focused 70/30 external vs. internal.


Key Responsibilities

  • Key stakeholder in pharma program planning and delivery: In partnership with program managers and translational/diagnostics teams, manage the strategic, customer-focused design and execution of high impact deliveries. Includes the development and/or presentation of decks, scientific content, and strategic discussions
  • Drive value and market adoption: Partner closely with customers to ensure maximum usage and value of Nucleai’s data, deliverables and products, supporting them to evangelize the key successes and benefits of working with Nucleai
  • Identify and support new business development opportunities: In partnership with BD, and scientific/medical functions, design, recommend and pitch future studies/collaborations with customers
  • Know your customer: Deeply understand biopharma customers pipelines, program needs and challenges to support the design and
  • Relationship building and customer success: Establish and deepen customer relationships and serve as internal voice of customer throughout delivery process
  • Build BioPharma Solutions Organization: Within 6-12 months, build, grow and manage team of BioPharma Solutions managers
  • Drive Strategic Impact: achieve results that forward Nucleai’s business objectives and grow the overall market size; demonstrate an action-oriented approach to problem-solving to meet and exceed annual objectives and revenue based targets
  • Lead seminars, presentations, joint-webinars with key pharma stakeholders
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.

Requirements:

  • PhD preferred, or an advanced degree in biology or related scientific field.
  • Experience - At least 8 years of experience in delivering and/or implementing scientific technology or services to biopharma, biotech or similar institutions. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of oncology drug development.
  • At least 4 years of customer-facing experience, preferably with translational medicine, clinical development and/or diagnostics teams.
  • Proven ability to build and grow teams in a fast growing market – exceptional team management skills.
  • Track record of directly impacting customer retention and growth.
  • Passionate about commercializing technologies that are the bleeding edge of improving patient care.
  • Highly collaborative and proven ability to partner cross-functionally. Low-ego, high EQ.

Role Overview 

The Senior Product Marketing Manager/ Associate Director will work closely with Commercial leaders, Product Teams, Science Teams to develop and execute go-to-market and demand generation plans for the scientific products (panels) and the platform, and package scientific evidence into easy-to-digest marketing content.

They will partner closely with the Channel Marketing Director to ensure the timely distribution and engagement of biopharma/academic KOLs with our content. They will also partner with commercial operations and BD to develop BD training materials, sales tools, pitch decks etc.


Key Responsibilities

  • Go-to-market Planning for Product Launches: Develop and execute go-to-market plans for key product launches in close collaboration with product development, scientific, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Awareness and Demand Generation: Leverage a combination of scientific, creative, and strategic marketing skills to develop awareness and demand generation plans for Nucleai offerings across different stages of the buyers’ journey.
  • Multichannel Marketing: Partner with the Director of Channel Marketing and freelancers/agencies to plan and execute a calendar of activities that include but are not limited to blog articles, website content, webinars, conference talks, email campaigns, videos, infographics etc.
  • Scientific Content Marketing: Partner with the Product and Scientific Teams to plan conference abstract submissions and technical product literature that support key launches and partnership milestones.
  • BD/Sales Training and Enablement: Partner with the Commercial Operations and Product teams to develop training materials and recordings, brochures/flyers, and pitch decks for the BD team.
  • Analytics and Tracking: Partner with the Director of Channel Marketing and Commercial Operations to track the impact of marketing activities.

Requirements:

  • B.S. or an advanced degree in biology or related scientific field.
  • Experience - At least 5 to 8 years of experience in product marketing in the life sciences/healthcare industry with exceptional storytelling skills.

The data science team provides the bottom line to our customers – which patients are the best fit for a cancer treatment and what is the chance of success.

We do it by analyzing medical images and clinical data, researching spatial features, developing predictive models and applying statistical methods to evaluate the results.

We work together with subject-matter experts, from medical doctors to software engineers, to leverage computer vision, focus on the most promising biological hypotheses and to productionize our capabilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Independently lead the data science perspective in any project or assignment – from data mining, through developing new algorithms, to analyzing results and providing professional insights and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the team's internal codebase with high-quality code and development standards.
  • Augment our knowledge and best practices, adopt relevant SOTA data science methods and practices.
  • Work closely with medical doctors, product and project managers, research scientists and software developers to focus your efforts, build new capabilities and provide value to your colleagues and our customers.

Requirements:

  • MSc in computer science/statistics/biomedical engineering/bioinformatics or other relevant fields
  • 5+ years of experience of experience in machine learning, statistics, bioinformatics is required.
  • Hands-on experience working with Python (experience as a professional developer is an advantage).
  • Get the job done attitude. Proven track record of success in managing and delivering complex projects.
  • Experience working with Git, Confluence, AWS
  • Strong interest in working on medical problems and take a leading part in the field of digital pathology.
